Hyo, that is, Filial piety is called ‘Hyo’ in Korean, is a
Gospel. In the past, I knew that pastor and respected him.
Although I did not understand how Hyo was the Gospel with
my common sense of faith, but I just let it go. What is the
Gospel? It says in Luke 2:10, which we read today. It says that

it is the good news of joy, and is that a man, who is under
the eternal punishment because of sin, will be forgiven of sin
and be set free from eternal punishment, and is good news
of joy to sinners, so it is called the Gospel. So, I had some
questions arose, ‘how does Hyo become the Gospel?, and how

can Hyo save sinners, and so how can Hyo be a Gospel?’
One day, when I turned on Christianity TV channel,
the pastor was on the air, and he directly was talking about
the purpose of the Hyo gospel, so I thought God gave me an

opportunity to hear directly from the person concerned. I
heard he was saying, ‘There is no Savior other than Jesus in
the world. It cannot be changed that the Savior is only the
one, Jesus. The reason Hyo is called the Gospel, however, is
that Jesus was a good son to God and also a very good son

to His parents, Joseph and Mary. Jesus showed an example of
Hyo to our human beings by taking good care of His parents
with Hyo. Therefore, when we follow the example of His Hyo
and live by practicing the Hyo, the family would recover if

Hyo arise, and the country would revive if family recovers.
