Reason Why People Emigrate in Today´s World

Globalization has increased emigration, which is the movement from one place to
another in order to live, in an almost uncontrollable way. Migration has existed since the

human being was nomadic and he looked for food to survive. In today’s world, people
immigrate to the Core countries for two principal reasons: people want a better quality of

life or there are problems in their birth country.

One reason that people emigrate is that they want a better lifestyle. Emigrants want

to get a better job and Core countries pay more money. For example, London and USA
have a basic wage of $ 7, 25 per hour while Mexico pays $ 4, 58 per day. Also, people want

to study in the best campus and they are worldwide recognized such as Harvard in USA and
Cambridge in UK. In addition, people emigrate to work and help their family economically

so they work and send the money to their expenses. They work really hard so that they will

be able to live comfortably in the future.

Another reason to emigrate is the troubles in people´s birth country. First, there are
wars and they want to be in peace so they take refuge in another country. For instance, the

terrorist group called FARC in Colombia has caused a lot of wars and Colombians have

emigrated to close countries lice Ecuador looking for peace. Likewise, most of periphery
countries are in crisis and they do not have the enough basic products. Take the case of

Venezuela where many people have emigrated because there is not food. Furthermore,
natural disasters is another problem. In many places, people are not safe because in the

place where they live there are earthquakes or hurricanes very often.

In conclusion, people immigrate today to the Core countries due to the desire of a

better life and for the troubles inside their own country. If this situation continue in that
way, Core countries will be overpopulated so their governments will have to create laws to

decrease this situation like the case of USA where there are several requirements to visit
that country.
