                            Historical  Eastern  Region!    A  powerful  display  of  tradition,  the  National  Arts

                            &   Letters   Commission    has   showcased    ou r   talented   Deltas’   literary   wor ks
                            since   2010,   providing   resources   for    the   writing   and   publication   proc ess,

                            promoting     literacy,   and   embracing   a   circle   of   dialog ue   for    our   new   and
                            avowed readers.

                            We    sincerely   appreciate   the   New   Yor k   Alumnae    Chapter,   Delta   Sigma

                            Theta    Sorority,   Incorporated,   for   hos ting   The   Pow er   of   the   Pen.   The
                            powerful    tour   features   books   of   various   genres   to  feed   the   sou l,   from

                            you   for   persevering   toward   your   goa ls   to  create   these   jewels   and   reading

                            at   large.   Your   work   provides   a   lasting   imprint   on   our   rich   heritage   and
                            positively   promotes     African-American      imagery    and    stor ytelling,   which
