Winter 2018
BAYSWATER NEWS
Welcome
By Lee Marriott
Hello Everyone,
Welcome to our Winter edition of the Bayswater Newsletter and a
special welcome to our new residents and families! While I have been Chuckles the Clown at Grand Kids Day 2018
working at Bayswater Gardens, I have been privileged to witness and
be a part of some fantastic activities and special events. In particular,
Grand Kids Day was a huge success and feedback from all those who
attended was very positive. Our next upcoming event is a Vivid Cruise
on 30 May.
It has been an exciting few months at Bayswater Gardens, with a
number of new staff members starting with us, all who are eager to
assist you in any way possible. Many of these staff members have
been with us from the very beginning and some have recently been
given the opportunity to upskill and try different roles. In this Men's Group BBQ Function
newsletter, for our Staff Interview, we feature Amrit, who is a well-
respected personal carer. He has continued his own professional
development by recently completing a Dementia Training Degree at
the University of Tasmania. Well done Amrit!
We are very pleased to announce the appointment of Eva Ballai as
Director of Care Services at Bayswater Gardens. Eva has twenty years
experience in the healthcare industry in different roles including as a
Director of Nursing. Eva is also a Lieutenant Nurse in the Australian
Defence Force and has had Directorship roles in healthcare
organisations and Rotary. We look forward to introducing Eva to
families at an afternoon tea on Thursday 14 June, details will follow Resident Neville at ANZAC Day
shortly.
With warm wishes
