TMC PENANG : METHODIST SENIOR FELLOWSHIP
A GLIMPSE INTO THE PAST

The Methodist Senior Fellowship (MSF) was officially formed in 2009 with Mr. Manasseh

Manoharan as its president. Since then, many others had stepped up to lead and below is the list
of the presidents to date.

2009 - Mr. Manasseh
2010 - Mr. Thomas

2011-2013 Mr. Joseph Selvaraj
2014-2018 Mr. Peter Mariappan
2019- Mr. S.C. Mani

The fellowship was formed with the aim to promote and strengthen Christian fellowship
amongst senior members of the church, and to support them in their walk with Christ. This was
done through various activities i.e. potluck gatherings, talks on medical and safety challenges
faced by senior citizens, hospital visitations and visiting MSF members who are not coming to

church, outings and physical exercises. Members also are encouraged to attend the annual MSF
camp and the Northern District MSF Retreat.

In the year 2016, MSF Penang hosted the 14th Annual MSF Camp at the Rainbow Paradise
Beach Retreat in Tanjung Bunga, Penang. Three hundred and sixty members from 42 churches
attended the retreat and it was a resounding success.

Besides these, MSF members have been actively participating in the church activities,

prayers and also, serve in the LCEC. During Christmas season, the members visit old folks home
to sing carols, sharing the festive joy.

I want to thank God for giving us good health to serve Him in this ministry and thank the MSF
committee and members for their kind help and involvement in all MSF programs.
