shaming her kids! She is married with two children – Megan (10) and Elliot (8) – and runs a marketing consultancy, as well as gaining headspace by running long distances. Somehow, she has ended up back in Northamptonshire, after living in London and Leeds in her 20s and 30s.
Lucy Watson (née Johnson- Ferguson) (W 92) recently moved back from Australia, where she lived for a long time. She is now just outside Brighton, loving the South Downs and being near the sea, despite the pebbly beaches! She is married to Ed, who is a teacher, and they have three children – Anna (12), Chloe (10) and Harry (6).
Cathy Broadley (née Donaldson)
(W 92) is married with three children – Martha (11), Molly (8) and Hamish (4). She is a physiotherapist with a PhD in Stroke Rehabilitation and she is currently self-employed, specialising in neurological rehab on the Dorset/Somerset border and living in Sherborne.
Gilly Wrathall (W 92) had been working in advertising in London for 15 years, but then moved back home to Northamptonshire, where she now works in the agricultural sector.
Verity has met up with Simon Thomas (Sn 92) fairly recently. He is married to Liz and they have two daughters, Abi and Jess. Simon has also moved from law into teaching and currently works at King’s School Macclesfield.
Verity also recently caught up with
Scotland has had no Corresponding Member for a couple of years, so thanks to all those who replied with their news and that of other OOs they are in contact with.
The most impressive report was of one of the first girls’ House year groups, which was submitted by Verity Munro (née Grabham) (W 92), following a Wyatt 1992 lunch reunion, which they had in London earlier this year. Verity has two boys – Harris (11) and Innes (9) – and lives just outside Edinburgh, in Haddington, East Lothian. She is a part-time learning support teacher at North Berwick High School, having previously worked as a solicitor. Her children are at the same school, Stewart’s Melville College, as Libby Webb’s (K 92) and they both report enjoying catching up at the school gates.
Macrina Storer (née Cargill) (W 92) lives in Manchester and works as an occupational therapist, specialising in amputee and prosthetic rehabilitation. She is also a part-time potter (ceramics) and mother to five- year-old Lucy.
Jemma Macfadyen (née Richardson) (W 92) is married to Tom with three sons – George (13), Sam (11) and Barney (9). Their boys are at school in Cambridge and they live near Saffron Walden in Essex. She runs her own research consultancy called Spinnaker, as well as being a dinghy sailing instructor in the holidays.
Jess Connors (W 92) is married to Stuart with two daughters – Pascale (9) and Romilly (8) – who are at the same school as Jes Pickering’s (S 92) kids and she hears his dulcet basso profundo in the school parents’ choir sometimes. Jess lives in London, works as a barrister (commercial and construction, so no wigs involved) and likes to escape to France, Ireland and Dartmouth in Devon whenever possible.
Tricia Rogers (née Loake) (W 92) claims to be growing old as disgracefully as she can without
Sophie Matthews (née Russell) (W 92) for lunch at her beautiful home, as she lives fairly close to Verity’s sister, Pippa Hudson (née Grabham) (W 93). Sophie and her husband, Jay, have three girls – Poppy (10), Daisy (8) and Rosie (4) – and they live near Winchester and Petersfield. She retired from consulting eight years ago and has been at home with the girls. She started teacher training in September and is a bit daunted by the likely chaos it will bring!
Sophie and the following four people could not attend the Wyatt 1992 girls’ reunion, but their news was shared, completing an impressive House year group summary.
Lindsay Townhill (née King) (W 92) is living in Philadelphia and has two boys, Kit (10) and Hugo (8). She has set up her own interior design firm, which has been handy, as she is three years into renovating her home!
Alice Weightman (W 92) now runs a very successful headhunting company that she founded nearly 16 years ago and a tech start-up. She lives in Richmond and has two children, Amirah (15) and Zac (13). Both are at Millfield and incredibly sporty.
Mia Marcus (née Williams) (W 92) lives outside Washington DC. She is a primary care physician and married to Jeremy, another physician, whom she met at medical school in Rochester, NY. They have three children – Nathan (12) and eight-year-old twins Eva and Lily.
Finally, Suzie Calderan (W 92) is doing sonic surveys of cetaceans in Antarctica!
Libby Webb has been up in Edinburgh for over 25 years and now works as a GP in a hospital and in the community. When she wrote, she and her family were on a two-week cycle tour through the Hebridean Islands and the West Coast of Scotland, and were praying the midges would be friendly! Her neighbour, Nigel Chapman (Sc 88), is
