• MUSC’s emphasis on Lowcountry images and subjects is consistent with medical research, which indicates that landscape views and images of nature help provide a comforting environment and positive distraction.
• All public art must be appropriate for our youngest and most vulnerable infants and children. We cannot accept dark and frightening imagery in the artwork.
• We also avoid subjects and symbols that have proven to be inappropriate for young children, and controversial, negative, racist, sexist, or o ensive to the wide public.
• We cannot display commercially trademarked images, logos, and products in artwork.
