Ibe Arrives
Jordon may not have played a big part in this important League One win for Wycombe – he came o the bench in the th minute – but he broke a record just by coming onto the pitch!
The winger had already featured in three cup games for the Chairboys that season, and at just 15 years and days he became the club’s youngest ever Football League player against Hartlepool.
Jordon was clearly impressing his coaches, as two weeks later he made his rst professional start and scored his rst goal at home to She eld Wednesday – the football world was waking up to the young winger’s talent!
Within two months of this Hartlepool match, Liverpool moved to bring Jordon to An eld and, after working with the youth setup, the next season ended with a Premier League debut for the winger away at QPR on the nal day of the season.
It capped o a rapid rise for Jordon in such a short space of time!

England’s Hat-Trick Hero
Jordon has played for England throughout the age levels, and scored the rst treble of his career for the under- s in a big win against Montenegro.
The Cherries winger was in the squad with loads of other young stars who have gone on to play in the Premier League, such as Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Calum Chambers, and at Walsall’s stadium the Three Lions lined up for what would be an easy win in a European Championship quali er.
Jordon got the rout started in the West Midlands and then scored two more in seven minutes after the break to con rm the victory and further underline his potential.
As well as playing for the under- s, Jordon later played three times for the under-20s and four times for the under-21s.
With some more good performances from Jordon to come, perhaps we’ll see if he can push into the senior squad soon!
