On the European Stage
Jurgen Klopp’s reign as manager at An eld was just underway and Liverpool’s Europa League campaign was stalling in the group stage – until Jordon came up with the goods!
The Reds had drawn their rst three games and faced a tricky -mile trip to Russia and back to take on Rubin Kazan in November.
It may have been chilly, but Jordon warmed up the supporters with a man-of-the-match showing and scored his rst Liverpool goal to win the match.
Aged 19, Jordon passed one man to receive the ball, sped past another and red an unstoppable low drive in o the far post for the only goal of the game.
What did Klopp think of it? After the match he ran onto the pitch to give the evening’s star man a big hug!

On Loan & Learning
It’s not easy jumping straight into the rst team at a big club like Liverpool, so Jordon went out to get some experience in the Championship with the Rams.
Still a teenager when he arrived at Pride Park, Jordon tted in well and was a menace to Championship defences with his speedy dribbling and attacking intent – scoring ve goals during his stay with Derby.
This pace and power was in evidence at St Andrew’s – with Birmingham City the other club Jordon enjoyed a loan spell with – when the young winger burst into the box, beat his marker and ri ed home to get the Rams on their way to another big win that season.
In fact, when Jordon returned to An eld in January, Derby were up in the heights of second in the table – behind only the Cherries in the standings!!
