Universal Screener, Benchmark Assessment, Progress Monitor
HMH Reading Inventory®
Assess all students with one universal reading measure and track growth over time.
HMH Reading Inventory® is a research-based, adaptive assessment that measures reading skills and longitudinal progress from Kindergarten through college readiness. It can be administered in a group setting in around 30 minutes, three to ve times per year.
The Reading Inventory provides exponentially more information at the high and low ends of the achievement spectrum in less time. The Reading Inventory o ers:
• Low-stress, adaptive student assessment program
• Foundational reading assessment of early literacy skills
• Assessment items that address the text demands of today’s rigorous academic standards • Powerful performance data to forecast students’ trajectory to college and career
• Group administered in approximately 30 minutes
• Balance between literary and informational texts
• Ability to skip questions to help students feel in control
• Flexibility to administer across devices
® THELEXILEFRAMEWORK FORREADING
Educators need to know where students are having difficulty in order to accurately forecast their growth. The Reading Inventory measures reading growth on the Lexile Framework for Reading—a scientifically proven tool that measures both a reader’s ability and difficulty of the text.
With The Reading Inventory’s Lexile® measures, educators are able to: • Measure and understand how much support every student needs • Increase rigor as student achievement grows
• Set achievable goals for all students
DATA AND REPORTING
Teachers can access a range of meaningful data and reports to maximize e ective planning and instruction and ensure that their students are on a reliable path to college and career readiness.
