Check each child’s worksheet.
“What sound do you hear at the beginning of ‘turkey’?” /t/ “What letter makes the /t/ sound?” t
“Write the lowercase letter that says /t/ on the line beneath the picture of the turkey.”
• Repeat with #2 (horse) and #3 (guitar).
• Check each child’s worksheet and have him/her correct it.
• Have children put their worksheets in their Homework Folders.
➤ Optional Handwriting Practice: Distribute Handwriting Master 54. Have children practice writing the capital and lowercase letters in class or as homework. Make extra copies if you would like to provide additional handwriting practice throughout the week.
