Advisory and Planning Services Increase student achievement with a personalized action plan.
We recognize that each school has its own DNA, so a one-size- ts-all approach to school improvement is not e ective. Expert consultants from the International Center for Leadership in Education (ICLE) and Math Solutions partner with school and district leadership to evaluate current strengths and challenges. Based on those ndings, they then develop and implement a multi-step plan that supports the school’s e orts to raise student achievement, reach its desired outcomes, and sustain those results over time.
NEEDS ASSESSMENT
To develop a successful solution, it is critical to begin with an accurate situation analysis. Our senior consultants work collaboratively with the leadership team to determine where you are now and where you want to go.
• The Comprehensive Needs Assessment from ICLE is a systemwide analysis of each school within the district

focused on the 18 elements of organizational leadership, instructional leadership, and teaching. This includes administration of perception surveys, classroom observations, interviews with all stakeholder groups, and deep conversation and re ection with school leaders.
• The Instructional Practices Assessment from ICLE provides a context to create authentic baseline data about student learning in classrooms in the area of rigor, relevance, and engagement. Similarly, the Instructional Practices Inventory from Math Solutions provides a deeper focus on the characteristics of a model math classroom. Through the use of classroom observation rubrics, data is collected, analyzed, and summarized in a report that describes the current state of the school or district.
• The Digital Practice Assessment from ICLE examines the strategies in place at each school that support student learning with technology, as well as the current supports and leadership practices in place to successfully implement a digital initiative.
STRATEGIC PLANNING
Building on the information gathered in the Needs Assessment, ICLE and Math Solutions collaborate with the leadership team to prioritize needs, develop an action plan, and determine how to measure e orts and outcomes. All of this comes together in the Strategic Plan, which serves as a road map for the school improvement initiative. Once implemented, consultants will monitor progress, communicate with the leadership team regularly, and adjust the plan, as necessary, to ensure that desired outcomes are met.
