DANIEL O’BRIEN
writes, “I graduated
with both my JD
and MBA from
UPenn in 2019 and
passed the bar that
summer. At the
end of my graduate
school experience,
I concluded that
entrepreneurship
was still what
most excited me.
I explored various verticals in the software industry and came upon an idea that I both am passionate about and believe is supported by broader macro trends. So, I founded AKOS and have been building the product and business for the past 8 months. We have seen some pretty positive feedback from our closed-beta launch and are looking to raise a seed-round of capital in the near future.

HARRY HE writes, “Since this summer I have been working on a book project that has recently entered the phase of editing and publishing. Based on a research I conducted back at home during the summer after my sophomore year, my book, Marching Toward Moderate Prosperity, examines China’s economic development and the idea of the “Chinese Dream” from a fresh angle with moving personal accounts and rigorous
research data. My book targets both Chinese and Western audiences as I challenge the former to reconsider the familiar narrative of the glorious achievements China has made in the past few decades and familiarize the latter with the perspective of millions of middle-class Chinese citizens whose voices are yet to be heard. Whenever I reflect back on my time at Prep, I would like to think that I have changed how many of my American peers understand China through our daily interactions. I think I presented them a different face of China and made this mysterious, oriental nation more familiar and personal.”

2015 STEPHEN IRVING writes, “after graduating from Prep, I went to Yale University in Connecticut where I studied psychology. At Yale I worked in various positions
that allowed me to organize events,
train other students, and coordinate information exchange between students and the college administration. I was also fortunate enough to visit the ecumenical Taizé community in Taizé, France on two service-and-retreat experiences. My studies, work, and service work have led me to further explore the intersection
of business and psychology after my graduation in 2019. During the 2019- 2020 school year, I returned to Prep as a member of the Alumni Service Corps. I am currently pursuing a Master of Management Studies degree at Duke’s Fuqua School of Business. I intend to work in areas of organizational training and development.”
