PRESIDENT’S REPORT

                                            Venus Martz

And then there’s August, my friends… the Sunday of Summer. The children are sun-kissed and ready for the first days of school and parents everywhere sigh in
unison. How did we blink and most of 2022 is gone? I’ve already bought my 2023 planner! So far, it’s been a tremendous 2021! We’ve had a 96% retention rate in
membership and over 40 new members this year! There are over 300 networking opportunities that the Chamber provides for its members! We love helping you
build, grow, connect, and market your business!

Thank you to all those that will sponsor, participate, and volunteer for our 2022 Scholarship Bowl! We cannot do it without your support! We’re looking forward to
a fun and safe time at Crest Bowl! Funds raised go towards our 2023 Scholarships and since it’s inception, the Chamber has given $100,000 in scholarships to our
North County graduating seniors. We will be taking Back To School item donations during the event!

Ladies! Reserve your calendar for September 23rd for the Chamber’s Annual Women’s Empowerment Seminar: Creating a League of Your Own! Presented by SSM
Health DePaul. We have lined up phenomenal speakers for the day with Sgt. Morrow, Ferguson Police Department; Dr. Misty Farr, Walmart; Heather Woodard,
McDonald’s; Destiny Klimsweski, Inspirational Speaker. Early bird pricing is $30! Call the chamber office today! Sponsorships are available.

Sign up now for our Legislative Membership Luncheon on August 17th at Orlando Gardens! Speakers will be some of our St. Louis County Councilmembers.
     Register today!

Please join us for August’s Business After Hours on Thursday, August 11th hosted by Daniel & Henry at the Chamber office from 5-7 p.m. Bring a friend, a spouse
or a colleague! The more the merrier!

I leave you with this quote from Nelson Mandela, “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” Best of luck to all our stu-
dents, parents, school districts and private schools! I hope you have a very inspiring and successful new school year.
