       Food For Thought                                        Mother Of The Sea



       More  than  a  third  of  the  world’s  food  is  wasted,   ‘Mother of the Sea’ is a tale that virtually every Inuit
       accounting  for  around  8%  of  all  greenhouse  gas   from  Greenland  to  the  Canadian  Arctic  knows
       emissions. And where does this waste go? The vast       in  some  form  or  another.  We  call  it  a  “living  story”,
       majority, to landfills. Featuring Simmie Vedi - freelance   which  means  it  isn’t  about  the  past  --  this  story  is

       founder of the world’s first zero-waste food restaurant,   and climate change, telling this tale does more than
       this short film explores the creative ways that humans   scare  children  away  from  the  dangerous  ice  --  it
       and  the  food  industry  itself  are  re-imagining  food   warns us all about the perils of disrespecting Mother
       waste. It’s about a creative revolution that many of    Nature.
