   Dehesa:
Forest Of The Iberian Lynx
2 x 60’ or 1 x 90’, 2020, 4K
Journey to a remarkable environment on the Iberian Peninsula, known as the DEHESA. This ancient grassland, dotted with trees, is unlike anyplace else in its astonishing diversity. Holm oaks, cork trees and gall-oaks shape a battlefield where large herbivores range and elegant and stealthy Iberian lynxes and formidable eagles hunt. Here, flowers conceal predators in stealthy camouflage. But it is also a welcoming place that hosts thousands of long-distance travelers each year, who set up camp for the winter.

‘Edge Of Existence’ tells the story of human-wildlife conflict in the Western Corridor of the Serengeti, Africa. Human-wildlife conflict is a global issue that has reached crisis levels. There are communities living alongside wildlife in some of the last remaining wilderness areas on earth. But these areas have started to disappear due to expanding human development, deforestation, and depletion of natural resources, which has left humans and wildlife living in closer proximity than ever before. See through the eyes of the people who live in the Serengeti, and the daily challenges they face as they struggle to co-exist with Africa’s Wildlife.
‘Earth Under Water’ looks at the effects of sea level rise on our civilization as predicted for the next few centuries. The film explains some of the science behind the prediction of sea level rise, and shows what will happen if sea levels rise with increasing speed. After the loss of exposed coastal cities like Miami and New Orleans, humans fight back through hyper engineering and the construction of vast dams near San Francisco and Gibraltar. As sea level rise gets out of control after the 23rd century, some of our most important cities are flooded. But even then, humans try to adapt, for example through the construction of floating cities around cities like New York.
