   Black In Space:
Breaking The Color Barrier
1 x 60’, 2020, 4K
‘Black in Space: Breaking The Color Barrier’ charts US efforts since the Kennedy administration in the early 1960s to get an African American into space; and how – unexpectedly – the Soviet Union got there first by launching a Cuban of African descent into space in 1980, beating the Americans by three years. And then an unexpected tragedy that befell one of the three men chosen by NASA to join the space shuttle crew.

At a time when we are bombarded with COVID-19 information, comes a moment of clarity – and a warning we cannot afford to ignore. Connect via Skype with conservation icon Jane Goodall, controversial marine activist Paul Watson and a cast of experts quarantined in home offices and living rooms around the world, to hear their perspectives on our worst nightmare come true. Revealing dialogue and relevant stories combine with raw, up to date images and Terra Mater’s inspiring blue-chip footage, in a film to make you pause, feel and act. As accusations and blame are cast on the failures of governments and talks of cover ups and conspiracies multiply; we invite audiences to change focus. In this film we ask – who is really behind the pandemic? This is not just a story about today but humanities future.
‘Disruptive Nature’ explores the worst natural disasters of the last 20 years. Discover just how powerful nature is and how it can disrupt whole civilizations, resulting in huge death tolls and vast economic loss. Beginning in the year 2000, we explore the natural disasters that shook nations and discover how they killed thousands of people and decimated towns and cities. From earthquakes, to avalanches, to cyclones, investigate the emotional and economic impact these events have on the communities they hit. We will explore the origin and characteristics of each of these natural phenomena and see how nature can change lives in a matter of hours, minutes, or, in some cases, seconds. We delve into the efforts made by countries, cities and residents to recover from these disasters and how they prepare for future inevitable events.

Shot in the Netherlands and Brazil, ‘Future Proof Present’ discusses the problems caused by the current Linear Economic model (take, make, consume and dispose). This film investigates the principles of the Circular Economy, a new and revolutionary way of thinking, a “Capitalism 2.0” adopted by the Netherlands with such success that it’s being considered a promising economic guideline to a more sustainable and long lasting future. We discover the routine of a typical Dutch family in order to understand how such innovative ideas are already a part of people’s lives. Visiting industrialists, designers, entrepreneurs, and many more we observe how these new processes are revolutionising human behaviour. In the end, transforming a production chain or economic model does not suffice. We must go beyond that and allow each individual to realise the state the planet will be in as we pass the torch to future generations if we don’t act now.
