When people head to Humboldt County, California in search of quick riches in the form of marijuana, often times they are unaware of the price they might ultimately pay in the illegal cannabis growing capital of the United States. The area produces at least 60% of the black market marijuana crop in the US, and also leads the state in missing persons cases. This series dives into the disappearance of one of these individuals, following the trail of 29-year-old Garrett Rodriguez who goes missing on Murder Mountain. His disappearance and the events surrounding the investigation into his whereabouts threaten to expose a wild, lawless place, and will forever change the local community. Alderpoint, commonly known as Murder Mountain by residents, is not only mountainous and spacious but a surreal, little corner of America. Viewers will get an up close and personal look at a cast of isolationists,
outlaws and vigilantes. Lightbox/Fusion Media Network/Netflix
When 28-year-old Hollie Kerrell disappeared from her home in Knucklas, mid- Wales, concerned husband Chris contacted everyone he could think of - but no one had seen or heard from her. He told police they’d argued, and she’d stormed off to start, she said, a new life. But Detective Superintendent Anthony Griffiths knew something wasn’t right. Why would devoted mum Hollie leave her three children behind? Under arrest, Chris Kerrell coolly maintained his innocence until mounting evidence and an unexpected phone call finally exposed his web of lies, and the awful truth began to emerge. He’d brutally murdered Hollie, dumping her body where he believed she would never be found. This documentary delves deep inside a murder investigation to reveal how painstaking detective work and rapid decision-making led to the conviction of a man determined to take the ultimate
control over his wife. Off the Fence Productions

On February 21st, 1965, Malcolm X was murdered in New York City. Within days the NYPD had three suspects in custody. Those men were subsequently tried, found guilty, and sentenced to prison. But only one of those suspects ever confessed, and the other two men insisted they were innocent of the crime. Activist Abdur Rahman Muhammad was always unsettled by his understanding of the case. The more he dug into police records, FBI files, and city archives, the more he became convinced a great injustice had been committed in the arrest and conviction of these two men. Now, after years of pursuing the case, Muhammad stands on the brink of uncovering who may have fired the fatal shot that brought down the civil rights icon. As new links are revealed about the Nation of Islam, the New York police department and the FBI, can he finally discover who really killed Malcolm X?
