This is a film about inherited family trauma, that looks at the prospect of healing in a parent-child relationship. In May 1944 a young Jewish woman arrived in Auschwitz, 2 months pregnant, she was immediately selected for medical experiments. Her daughter, Angela, was born weighing 1 kg and not only inherited the trauma of the Holocaust but passed it on to her own daughter Kati, who is trying to prevent the same trauma being passed onto her own children. Follow the story of these women as the Holocaust casts a long shadow over three generations.

The Dehesa is the Iberian Peninsula’s best kept secret – sometimes called the Spanish Serengeti, it is an ancient, wild grassland dotted with trees. But these are no ordinary trees; holm oaks, cork trees and gall- oaks have shaped this landscape. Today, large herbivores graze the landscape, stealthy Iberian lynxes prowl the shadows, formidable eagles patrol the skies, and colourful wildflowers conceal predators that have such astonishing camouflage they seem to completely disappear.

Now, one woman is on a quest to save the Scottish Clydesdale. Janice Kirkpatrick is an award-winning Glaswegian designer and passionate about this horse. Her plan is simple: find the lost blacks and bring them home.
