Three years dedicated to a visionary project: the winter ascent of Nanga Parbat in Pakistan, the ninth highest mountain in the world, also known as ‘killer mountain’. The film documents the first attempt’s of a team of climbers including deceased Polish climber Tomasz Mackiewicz, (who died on his seventh attempt to climb the mountain in January 2018) as they tackle this treacherous journey.

They put their careers and their families’ livelihoods on the line by coming out as transgender to top brass officials in the Pentagon in hopes of attaining the equal right to serve. The ban was lifted in 2016, but with President Trump now trying to reinstate it, their futures hang in the balance again.
