The first months of a wild animal’s life are fraught with danger. Newborns require sufficient food, must often compete with their siblings for their parents’ care and attention and must learn quickly how to survive in nature. In addition, they frequently face external dangers from predators or environmental conditions. This film is a gripping and emotional investigation of the perils young animals face in the forests, meadows and lakes and along the coastlines of northern Europe.

Angola is witnessing a giant homecoming. After decades of civil war, elephants are returning to the now peaceful country on ancestral routes, which have lain dormant for over thirty years. But the area is apparently still riddled with landmines. How do the elephants avoid them? This film tells the story of peace and resettlement in Angola and the challenge of both elephants and people reclaiming their land and living together.

Puggles, schnoodles, labradoodles and cockapoos are all part of a growing international trend: Designer Dogs. Known as hybrids, they are purebred to purebred crosses. The American Canine Hybrid Club recognizes close to 400 of the new crosses, everything from rat-chas to bossi-poos to dorkies. Ultra hip but not cheap, puggles can cost up to $3,000 per pup.
