This year in first grade we learned a lot
about letters, sounds, words and reading
with ESPP for fluency. In math we
learned that addition and subtraction go
together like peas and carrots, peanut
butter and jelly, and hot chocolate and
marshmallows. We know about place
value and how to "regroup the coop!" We

also practiced measuring in the garden.
We used Science, Technology,
Engineering and Math concepts to make
bird perches (with a special visitor) and
musical instruments. We worked really
hard on making good choices and
earned a pizza party for getting 100
Kellie Halsted class compliments by the end of March.
All in all, it was fun year in Room 22!
