YOUR LOVE IN THEM
Now, he showed that it takes the help of the strength of the Spirit of God in our inner man to develop that love of God in us. In the process, we will also grow in our faith in Christ Jesus. Actually, without growing in faith, we cannot grow in the love of God.
It takes faith in God to even come to the place where we become eligible to enjoy the gift of His Spirit, and then to go on to develop the love nature of our Father that the Spirit midwifes. To truly unlock the blessings that the Spirit of God channels into our lives from the Father, we must engage His help in His core area of ministry, which is prayer (Romans 8:26-28).
Love is Expressed in Unity
Jesus prayed that we all will be one with Him and His Father in the same way that He is one with His Father. I regard this as an integral part of His desire to see the love nature of His Father and Himself expressed in us. We cannot claim to be in love with one another and live in disunity at the same time. A coexistence that is characterised by love must necessarily exhibit unity.
