The Man In Love
We must never make God a lie by claiming that we have no sin. Romans 3:23 also says that “.... For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” What is required is to own up to our sins as frequently as we can, especially to repent of them, so that we can receive His forgiveness. It is clear from this scripture that we cannot be cleansed from all unrighteousness if we cover our sins.
He who covers his sins will not prosper, but whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy.
Proverbs 28:13
We cannot prosper in anything if we do cover our sins. This includes in our quest to grow unto a perfect man and the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ (Ephesians 4:19).
We need to plead for mercy for the forgiveness of our sins and ask God to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. By His mercy our transgressions re blotted out, iniquity is washed off and we are cleansed from sin according to Psalm 51:1-4,9 as follows:
