The Man In Love
His disciples provided for themselves that was brought out and shared. With His intervention, the same food was shared among 5,000 men excluding women and children yet 12 baskets full of crumbs were taken up. They all ate and were filled up. He did a similar thing in Matthew 15:32-38 where 4,000 were fed. When the disciples were with Jesus, they knew that adequate provision for their needs was in place.
In 2 Peter 1:3-4, we read that Jesus has provided for us ‘all things’ that make for life and godliness. That is like saying that Jesus has made available all that we need to emerge holy and without fault before our God. We must again follow the pattern of Jesus with regard to our wives. We must do everything possible to ensure that adequate provision is made for her to emerge as a glorious wife, holy and without blemish. We must spare no effort to ensure that she is sanctified, cleansed, nourished and cherished.
