The Man In Love
accorded Him. More than that, the Son was made to own everything the Father owned. He commanded great works like His Father commands. He was given a name above every name in existence anywhere in creation. He was made the only access to the Father by man and without His name man would receive nothing from the Father. The Father opened up His treasure house for Him once His love was in place. The Father was only greater in the throne!
We see what love toward God can usher us into from the account given about Solomon in 1 Kings 3. Love motivated Solomon to make a heavy sacrifice to God after he succeeded his father David on the throne of Israel. That same love was expressed in Solomon’s prayer that God should empower him to provide quality leadership to His people. In return God ushered Solomon into a realm of blessings that no king in his days would ever exhibit.
Then God said to him: “Because you have asked this thing, and have not asked long life for yourself, nor have asked riches for yourself, nor have asked the life of your enemies, but have asked for yourself understanding to discern justice, behold, I have done according to your words; see, I have given you a wise and understanding
