The Man In Love
And above all things have fervent love for one another, for “love will cover a multitude of sins.”
1 Peter 4:8
Love also covers a multitude of sins. If we can get rid of sin and obey God, a great relationship will ensue for us with Jesus and our heavenly Father. Love is the only way to accomplish that decidedly. Again, the description in 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 shows how love covers a multitude of sins.
You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you. These things I command you, that you love one another.
John 15:16-17
Also, Jesus chose us so that we can bear fruit that abides. In John 15:1-2 we understand why the emphasis on bearing fruit. His Father is excited if we bear fruit in our lives. The fruit referred to here is the fruit of the Spirit of which love remains the principal component. When Jesus closed the statement by emphasizing that we love each other, he was pointing out that love is the fruit he was referring to. If love is the fruit and that is the bottom line that
