Wieliczka Salt Mine






  – Poland


















                    Our next stop will be in Poland which is a country located in a central Europe. Near

                    Krakow, the biggest metropolitan area in southern Poland lays Wieliczka Salt Mine.
                      The mine is famous because of the rooms and statues that were carved out of the


                      rock salt by the miners. Everything in the underground rooms is made out of salt,
                                                            even the chandeliers. People often call the mine

                                                                “the Underground Salt Cathedral of Poland”

                      It is one on the Poland’s official Historical Monuments and is listed on UNESCO’s

                                                                                           World Heritage Sites.

                       UNESCO is the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization.
