Bull Care
• All bulls have been running in large groups of 50+ on grass and are used to dogs, and
motorbikes
• When you get them home, give them a few days to acclimatise to their new environment
• Try to avoid single sire mating at all times, no matter the bulls age
• 2 year old bulls can handle between 40-45 females at one time, try and mate in smaller
paddocks for first cycle when the most cycling should be occurring
• Keep an eye on the bulls during joining, and don’t hesitate to call us with questions
• Bulls can lose weight during joining but recover to normal weight in time if they are
looked after post joining. Best practice is to drench and build them back up after they
come out of the cows over a short period of time (4-6 weeks).
