year after all (maybe the Pope is a cannibal). Cox also scores a beautiful chip,
42 – Coventry H 15/16 – Incredibly, the 1,000-year-old Joe Cole doesn’t avenge that time we did his cruciate. Jack Payne starts to show why he’ll be o when his contract runs out. You could pick out the Deegan red card, but it’s basically priced in isn’t it?
41 – Exeter A 13/14 – Comfortable away win to nil sewed up by half time. A nice massive de ection on the second. What’s not to like? Save for the trip home.
40 – Fleetwood A 17/18 – We took the lead and conceded four touches later. A thumbnail of the rst half of this season if ever there was one. A rst win since Judas Priest were popular is overshadowed by Nile’s machine gun.
39 – Blackpool H 17/18 – Last-minute penalty saves are always great. As was Curtis Tilt’s ‘defending’. Any winner that makes you burst into laughter upon it being scored is worth going in a bit higher on the list than otherwise.
38 – Wimbledon A 16/17 – Ranger scores a blinder and brie y looks less trouble than he’s worth. The stupid celebration trend for the season peaks with his ‘salt bae’.
37 – Mansfield H 13/14 – Very enjoyable nonsense. A wonderful passing move under no pressure at ten v nine gives the false impression we can play a bit. The Mans eld keeper chucks one in the net for good measure.
36 – Charlton H 17/18 – Bumper crowd and plenty of annoyed Londoners who think they’re above us watch their lot go two down in 11 minutes in a festive treat for some and an infuriating show of the underachievement the rest of the year for everyone else.
35 – Chester eld A 16/17 – The rst half red card and general wretchedness from the home team makes this feel needlessly cruel. 4-0, even Marco scored.
34 – Bradford H 16/17 – Great win against a team that hardly lost. So what we started with a monster handball? Will Atkinson is king (until June at least).
33 – Burton A 13/14 – Last-minute Eastwood winner! So what they were down to 10 for half the game?
32 – Rochdale H 16/17 – A great last-minute winner against a direct rival is undermined by Simon Cox’s undershirt falling to pieces in celebration of his 00 career goals. Sort it out boys.
31 – Hartlepool A 14/15 – A last-ditch siege from Hartlepool did nothing but scare the life out of everyone and the gap was closed to a meagre ve points with six games to go. It’s amazing we found a way to get in front and then screw it up really.
30 – York H 13/14 – Last-minute winners from Luke Prosser are sullied by the Colchester captaincy. It was still a packed house and good fun, which it frequently wasn’t.
29 – Portsmouth A 13/14 – Behind for more than half the game, go down to 10 and still win. Maybe it says more about how bad Portsmouth were then.
28 – Scunthorpe H 16/17 – Come from behind against the league leaders? RIP 1-0 Phil.
27 – Chester eld A 13/14 CUP – A great show of promotion credentials (and cup advancements, like that matters lol) against a rival away from home. And from behind. Kevan Hurst looks like a player we shouldn’t have forgotten existed during 15/16.
26 – Oldham H 16/17 – No Lenny, no problems. Robinson has his one good game since coming back. A feeling of optimism is quickly mediated by a last-minute defeat to Bolton on the Tuesday.
25 – Colchester A 15/16 – A regulation away win against a relegation struggler. Nothing to see here.
24 – Oldham A 15/16 – Two conceded? Can’t be having that. Even with ve di erent goalscorers, it’s so out of character it shouldn’t really even be on the list as a Brown win.
23 – Oxford H 13/14 – Jamar Loza’s one good game across two spells. It was really good though. It inspired the signing of Jacob Murphy, because the players at Norwich are grown on a farm. Shove o Oxford.
22 – Portsmouth H 13/14 – Last minute winner from Leonard with a better crowd having started very badly. BBBC shows why he was so indispensable.
21 - MK Dons A 16/17 – This season shows its rst signs of being something
