Headless-Shell
Black Tiger Shrimp ON
HLSO- (Southern Bangladesh)
This is the most common form of raw shrimp use in the Bangladesh. The
head of the shrimp is removed, the throat meat is trimmed and that's it.
This form is also referred as a ‘green headless’, a name that beckons back to
the day when all shrimp was wild caught. Back in the ‘day’ the shell of sea
caught shrimp would have defects and had a slight greenish tint.
The acronym for Headless Shell-on shrimp is ‘HLSO’.
