Sales Associate Steve Manigas was given the task of getting NECO-TV up and running at D&K. They went live with in early November and currently have 2 of their 3 units up and running. The first one is up front and is currently running content for cooking and their core manufactures such as BSH and Whirlpool etc. The second unit is in the back of their store displaying content for the higher end goods. The 3rd will go upstairs where the laundry display is and focus on content related to laundry. Steve states that he is just beginning to get familiar with the service and looks forward to getting time to include additional features like adding more manufactures as well as some of the TV ads the store runs locally.
Steve states, “I like the fact that it is user friendly and that we can demonstrate to the customers on the screen what we are communicating with them in person – this makes them even more confident in what we are saying.”
H&H went live with the new service in late September, shortly after the Foxwoods show. Nicole says that the service is unique in that it is not specific to any one brand. They currently have one unit that is in the back half of the store on the show floor. It provides a nice subtle backdrop of information in an area of the store that is beyond the reach of the background music that is piped in up front. Currently the unit is displaying Maytag and Frigidaire information. She really likes the concept and appreciates the help the NECO group provided in making the installation possible. Nicole states that H&H would like to look at adding more local content
as well as additional manufactures featured content in the future.

Members already have the units up and running and the feedback has been positive. “We have been using new technology every day now,” said Mickey Reali of Orville’s Appliance. “I have to admit this is a great addition for the store! The video app downloaded perfect informational videos for

NECO TV Program Manager
The NECO TV will be managed and supported through Torus Marketing. Kristina Smallwood who has taken the lead on this new program says, “I’ve been exposed to other platforms and this is by far the best I’ve seen. If you can use Netflix you can operate this. Showing digital brand content helps storeowners sell their products. Members that I’ve talked to love the fact that you can add your own branded content such as commercials and specials.”

our appliances. They are all in HD and look great. Quite a few of them show nice breakdowns of how the appliances work too . . .I think we should have one in each of our stores.”
Appliances Plus currently has 5 screens running simultaneously from a single device. TVs are hung from the ceiling and are located in the following areas; laundry, kitchen, cooking, dishwasher and one just outside the TV room. With a showroom area of 1,400 sq. ft., there is room for more screens and Sal mentioned that they would likely get one or
two more control boxes so they could send different content to different areas with different messaging.
“It definitely attracts attention and customer eyes are diverted to the screens,” states Sal. “Customers have stopped and asked us if we have the product they see onscreen so they can touch and feel it.”
Currently they are running manufacturers supplied content from G.E., Elextrolux, Whirlpool, LG, Samsung, etc. They have been using the technology as a sales tool. Sal cited an example of how one of his salespeople used NECO TV to show how a G.E. dishwasher cleans the inside of a glass. Something that would be difficult to explain without the assist of the on demand product video.
Sal mentioned that they plan on running some store commercials on the devices soon, as well as using it for in-store sales training.
He also noted another advantage to having the Apple TV box hooked up to the NECO TV screens is that they have been using their iPads to project product images and specs on the screens for customers to view and make comparisons among various brands as well as price comparisons from competitors. Sal is enthusiastic about the new service and looks forward to exploring more potential uses.
