Is College Really Worth it?

We are told that immediately after high school we should go to college. Is this the right
way to go? Well in my opinion, I believe that if the person knows what career they would like to
pursue, it is smart to go to college right away. It would be great to get an early start at your
career. Time is the one thing in life we can not cheat, so why waste time if you know your path
is. Let's talk about the person just graduating high school and has no idea what their career

interests are. In my opinion this person would need at least one to two years outside of school to
find out exactly what it is they would like to pursue career wise. Having a college education is
defiantly an accomplishment you should strive for. It empowers you with the knowledge you need
in whatever career path you choose. It is a great feeling being a candidate for a job and knowing
that you have the skills and edicate to handle the job description.

Why not just stay home and study youtube videos? I will be the first to say that youtube

is an amazing source of information. However, It does not build those soft skills needed to
communicate and work in teams. These particular skills are especially needed in the workforce in
this modern age. Modern organizational structures are more organic which means they are less
ridge, people work in teams, and communication is multi-directional. Youtube can't teach you
how to get up everyday, get dressed, and get to work on time, that is unless you would set your
alarm, get dressed, and sit at the computer lol. We all have different paths in life and ultimately

your happiness is important.

Let's face it education is important and whatever medium you choose to learn from is your
choice. No matter what you choose, remember don't give up. Believe in what ever your path is
and fight to move forward everyday.
