People Are Saying...
The Murfreesboro, Tenn., city school coordinator sent a letter to MPA Kay Coomes: “Murfreesboro City Schools thank you for donating backpacks, lunch bags, and water bottles. Our community partners allow us to continue meeting the needs of our children and families across the district. Your generosity is greatly appreciated.”
Waco Customer Contact Center Supervisor
Liz Gersch received a letter from an AHC Development employee in Dallas regarding CSA Chelsey Nava-Torres. “I wanted to sing the praises of your associate, who was so kind, thoughtful, and patient. I had multiple new lines
of natural gas service to start, and due to the new required COVID screening questions, was unable to get it done through our normal procedure. The process took over an hour, yet she did not falter once with an attitude of inconvenience. She helped set-up 18 new lines of service at 4426 Cabell Drive with professionalism and a dedication to excellence in service. She was polite, sweet, and sincere. Employees like her make this world a
better place.”
Atmos Energy recently donated $25,000 to the Wichita Falls (Texas) Area Food Bank. MPA Randy West later received a voicemail from board member Trish Dillmon. “We appreciate your Fueling Safe and Thriving Communities program, which provided the wonderful financial contribution to our Wichita
Falls Area Food Bank. Helpful donations like this make me proud to be an Atmos Energy natural gas customer.”
Rates and Regulatory Affairs Vice President Brannon Taylor received a note from the principal of Moore Elementary in Franklin, Tenn.: “On behalf
of the students and staff of Moore Elementary, thank you very much for Atmos Energy’s generous $1,000 donation to our school. We are fortunate
to have such a supportive community partner. This donation will enable us to purchase a much-needed structure that can provide shade on our playground.”
After Hurricane Delta, Service Technician Brent Dupont replaced a damaged meter in Church Point, La. He ran a Universal Pressure Monitor test and everything passed. Dupont then asked the customer to start their natural gas generator to make sure it was getting proper gas flow from Atmos Energy piping. It wouldn’t start. Dupont inspected the generator and found it didn’t have oil. The customer added oil and the generator started right up. The customer later called the Amarillo Customer Contact Center and spoke with Supervisor Suzanne Chaney. “Mrs. Chaddick said the employee went above and beyond and did an excellent job.” Supervisor Ray Young added: “Brent, thanks for the WOW customer service. It takes commitment and paying attention to what the customer needs. You have been a great person and we are glad you are part of our Atmos Family.”
Operations Assistant Amy Skelton, Distribution Operator Nate Campbell, and Construction Operator Tim Wilson received a note from Ski Town Commercial developer in Steamboat Springs, Colo. after employees installed a 3⁄4-inch service
line to a downtown residential- commercial project. “We thank you and the entire Atmos Energy team for being very professional. Amy, you were very quick to respond and Nate and Tim were great to have on-site. Their credentials speak for themselves.”
Owensboro Mayor Tom Watson sent a letter to MPA Kay Coomes: “Thank you for the Gold Star Families Memorial Monument. This signature monument would not have been possible without the support of helpful community donors like Atmos Energy. Together we have created a space that honors Gold Star Families as they continue to endure the loss of loved ones and a place for all of us to honor the fallen.”
