Atmos Energy Leads Philanthropic Fundraiser
Atmos Energy was the Presenting Sponsor for the 17th annual Grapevine Relief and Community Exchange (GRACE) virtual fundraising gala on Nov. 7. GRACE is a Grapevine, Texas–based nonprofit organization of churches, businesses, and individuals donating food, furniture, clothing, financial assistance, and professional services to Tarrant County residents struggling with limited income or a recent emergency.
Since 2009, the company has supported GRACE programs. In April, Atmos Energy named GRACE a recipient of the Robert W. Best Charitable Giving Fund, to aid individuals and families during the coronavirus pandemic. Leading the Gala Team charge this year were Pipeline Marketing Vice President Vic DeVincenzo and his wife, Tina. Serving as the co-chairs for this massive event would be daunting in a normal year, says GRACE Special Events Manager Christina Cates.
“Vic and Tina’s extensive leadership skills were needed this year more than ever,” she said. “GRACE is fiercely grateful to the DeVincenzos for their energy and guidance.”
“On behalf of the more than 5,000 family members GRACE serves each year, thank you for the support that allows us to provide food, clothing, shelter, education, medical care, and hope to the downtrodden among us,” added Chief Development Officer
Mark Woolverton.
“GRACE’s philosophy is to encourage self-sufficiency, which will,
in turn, encourage community cohesiveness,” says Vic DeVincenzo, who is a GRACE board member. “Compassion and assistance are a response to God’s grace by local churches partnering with municipalities, businesses, civic organizations, and individuals.
We are thankful for our company’s wonderful support.”
