University of Delaware Mixed-Use and Student Housing |

The University of Delaware (UD) embarked an initiative to create a mixed-use student housing
development. In response, Bernardon provided a design that thoughtfully integrates within the
existing campus and surrounding neighborhood. The proposed 798-bed community features
an open transparent ground plane and student-centric services to provide connectivity with
the greater community. The positioning of the building is open to both the campus and the
street frontage, creating a campus-edge transitional space inviting all to participate.
