Chester County Public Safety Training Facility
Owner/User: County of Chester
Location: South Coatesville, Pennsylvania
Design Statement: This project fulfilled a longstanding
need for dedicated emergency services personnel training
in Chester County. The program included the adaptive
reuse of an existing building to provide the needed facility,
including training rooms that could accommodate 30, 40,
50 and 80 people each.
Bernardon’s design solution included training rooms
with capacities of 30, 40, and 50, which were successfully
integrated into the structural bays of the existing A main design feature is the use of a salvaged steel beam
