Elk of the Month!
It is with great pleasure that I present Maria Hassen with Elk of the Month for July 2017.
Our Lodge is graced by Maria’s presence and her kind, warm, friendly and positive energy.
This is exactly “why” I appointed her to Chaplain for our 2017/2018 Suite of O cers. Maria has worked on the frontline and behind the scenes, donating countless hours,
on behalf of our Veterans Programs. Maria’s husband, David Hassen is the MEA Veterans and National Service Chairman and the two of them, together are a dynamic team. They work closely with our local Veterans Chairman, Karen Curtis, to promote Veterans Projects within our Lodge and throughout the State of Maine.
Maria has o ered her help to many other committees, within our Lodge, also. She
recently modeled at the Mother’s Day Gala for the Scholarship Committee and came up with the idea for a Silent Auction at a recent Birthday Bash, one of the largest fundraisers of the Birthday Bash, yet, per Israel Cunningham, Chairman. You will always nd Maria lending a helping hand. Please, help me in congratulating, Maria and thanking her for
her service to Elkdom.
