The Sun
Read the following passage and then do Exercise 2.

The Sun is the largest object in the Solar system. It is at the
centre of the Solar system. The Sun is very important to the
lives of all living things.
The Sun provides heat to the earth. When the Sun heats the
earth, the earth becomes the right place for animals to live in.
The Sun provides light. The light provides energy to the earth.
Scientists make electricity from the energy known as Solar power.
The light from the Sun helps animals to see during the day and
at night through the moon. The light also helps plants to grow.
In addition, Sunlight produces Vitamin D for our bodies. Moderate
Sun keeps our bodies warm enough to function.
Exercise 2
Answer the following questions.
1. Write three advantages of the Sun to plants, humans,
and animals.
