I wish to extend my warmest congratulations to the BEAM Society Limited on the occasion of its 10th Anniversary.
The Construction Industry Council and the BEAM Society Limited share the same vision of building up a more sustainable community and built environment for Hong Kong. We enjoy and value the partnership that we have established in the past ten years and look forward to closer collaboration in the future.
The achievements of the BEAM Society and its contribution to the community is well recognised. I am confident that our common effort of making Hong Kong greener will achieve good results because of your active participation and leadership.

I would like to extend my heartfelt congratulations to BEAM Society Limited (“BSL”) for its 10th anniversary and commend BSL’s remarkable achievements
in developing and promoting the BEAM Plus assessment tools and in nurturing green building professionals over this period.
Business Environment Council (“BEC”) and BSL have been working together continuously
to promote green and sustainable buildings in Hong Kong since BSL’s inception. Our latest collaboration is the Jockey Club BEAM Plus in Schools Project (“the Programme”) started in 2020. Funded by the Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust and supported by Environment Bureau, Education Bureau and Electrical and Mechanical Services Department, the Programme aims to reduce carbon footprint of 120 secondary and primary schools in Hong Kong and to educate the next generation with the concept and benefits of green buildings.
BEC looks forward to furthering our close collaboration with BSL in helping Hong Kong transition to a resilient and low carbon economy.

I have no doubt that BSL will continue to lead the future in shaping a sustainable and quality living environment for Hong Kong.

I truly believe that the BSL would encourage and assist the local building industry to improve the overall performance of the built environment across their life cycle and bring the betterment and sustainable development of Hong Kong.
