Mr Lawrence CHAU President The Hong Kong Institute of Planners
On the special occasion of the 10th anniversary of the BSL, it gives
us great pleasure to express congratulations on behalf of the Hong Kong
Institute of Planners for the significant achievements of BSL over the past decade.
A quality built environment is fundamental for the creation of a liveable city. BSL dedicates continuously to improve the overall quality of Hong Kong’s built environment, both in terms of new buildings and existing buildings. BSL’s solid track record of technical excellence is a testament to its strong commitment to keep developing new assessment tools for every stage of a buildings’ life cycle.
We wish to extend our best wish to BSL for a marvelous anniversary celebration, as well as looking forward to our continuing co-operation in pursuing a better built environment in Hong Kong. Let’s join our hands to create a liveable community.
On behalf of the Hong Kong Institute of Urban Design (HKIUD), I am delighted to extend my heartfelt congratulations to the BEAM Society Limited
(BSL) on their many achievements over the past ten years. Coincidentally HKIUD is also celebrating our 10th year anniversary this year, our Institute places a great value
on the excellent relationship with the BEAM Society Limited and especially myself was serving as Director of the Beam Society Limited for three years.
The HKIUD and BEAM Society Limited share the same vision in building Hong Kong to a sustainable and a green liveable city co-organising some of the previous CPD events for both HKIUD and BSL members. We are pleased that a large number of our members are also actively involved in the BEAM Society and are able to liaise directly with members of other professional institutes, through research and educational channels. We hope the HKIUD and BEAM Society will continue to work together in the coming years for the betterment of our city.
