Brief
The client’s requirement was a lacquered hand made bespoke fitted kitchen that
was practical yet stunning. With a ceiling height of 3508mm the client wanted to
make full use of this height to maximise storage and create an elegant look that
compliments this period property.
Key elements requested were a large storage area with Chef’s Pantry and large
fridge and freezer, a separate breakfast area with storage for microwave and small
appliances, an island for food prep and a large range cooker with mantel.
Appliances needed to be of high quality, functional and stylish. The kitchen units to
be specially made to suit the room dimensions and be a special colour to
compliment the Interior Designers colour schemes. The work surfaces to be a
thickness of 50mm with a detailed edge, be practical, a colour to compliment the
furniture and contain detailed marbling.
The budget of £120k was both realistic and achievable and this was an exciting and
challenging project for the designers at Glotech.
