P. 2
This year The Keep Kids Fire Safe® Foundation celebrated its 10th year.
During that time, we have been true to our mission of teaching fire safety
education and skills to students and their caregivers. While our mission
hasn’t changed, how we’ve delivered that message has.
When the foundation started our message was primarily delivered in
person. Exhibiting at conferences, participating in parades, and
presenting to children. As you can imagine, having to travel greatly limits
the amount of people you can educate. With the widespread use of
computers in classrooms and the adoption of Skype® everything
changed.
We are now able to present to multiple classes in different parts of the
world on the same day! In 2019 Molly and Dayna Skyped 39 fire safety
programs reaching 1,734 children and 158 adults from 15 states and 5
countries, traveling 60,762 virtual miles. They also traveled across the
US and into Canada, reaching almost 24,000 miles while conducting
thirty “in person and dog” fire safety programs, reaching 1,650 children
and 494 adults. Keep Kids Fire Safe Foundation Board Chair,

None of this would have been possible without the corporate
sponsorship of State Farm. They have supported the fire safety Skype
program since 2012. In addition, I would like to thank our donors,
volunteers, community partners, and our past and present board
members. All of you have made spreading the fire safety message
possible.
I invite you to browse our website, look at our programs, educational
materials, and videos. Please also consider making a contribution to
help us do even more.
On behalf of all of us here at The Keep Kids Fire Safe® Foundation,
T Thank you,
Nick Bellavia
