Learner Led Climate Conference

During the conference, young
people constructed ‘asks’ for Welsh
Government, which were followed
up with a second multi-school
conference at the school in December
2023 where they looked to bring
together and rank the ‘asks’.
The young people decided that
to enable inspirational climate
educators, they needed good quality
climate training.
Bassaleg School decided to take
this on board and are working with
Eco-Schools Wales to train up some
learners towards the end of this
summer term, who will go on to
deliver climate training to all the
teaching staff in autumn term of
2024.
