The World of Materials Science Comes to Phoenix!
The TMS 2018 Annual Meeting took place in Phoenix, AZ from March 11-15, 2018. The annual
meeting of The Minerals, Metals & Materials Society hosts nearly 100 symposia covering 3,400
oral and poster presentations. Out of the 4,300 attendees, seven engineers from the Honeywell
MatEng organization attended the conference in order to learn about advancements in additive
technologies, metallurgy, materials processing, and materials design, among others. The

conference provided a great opportunity for learning, professional development, and networking
within the world of materials engineering.
