FINAL ESSAY PROMPTS
Write an artist's statement about your part in the Multi-Media Class Project. The essay must be between 2,000 -2,500 words. This is a reflection on your role in the overall project, and what you learned by participating with your team, and on your own. Please use the following questions to guide your essay. Your answers do not necessarily need to follow any particular order. The questions below are to guide your essay process. When crafting you essay, please think about the class modules and using attributes (footnotes), please reference the class materials (readings and videos) that apply to your team's specific project to support your essay.
For instance, if you were on the video team, what did you learn about television and internet broadcast that helped you to better understand your medium?
For the graphics team, what did you learn about branding from the readings that you can reference in your essay.
For games, the same thing. In the module on gaming, what information can you apply to what you created?
Podcasts, what did you learn about radio and how it works that gave you a better understanding of that medium?
Comics, what info did you glean from the readings that will help shape your creation of future work?
Website team, using branding, multi-media marketing, and analytics information, how do those readings apply to your project.
Blog Team, how did the information on journalism and the differences between traditional reporting and blogging impact your process?
Social Media - the module on social media and new media discusses the impact of those forms of communication and how the future will look? Apply that knowledge to your answer.
Music Team, the radio and music industry readings offered insight into the power of music in branding and as a form of mass media. How did that info enlighten your understanding of how music can reach the masses?
