        Initially  drafted  by  Halos  in  6th  round  of  1988  draft...The  1995
        All-Star  and  1998  Angels  Team  MVP  amassed  a  .258  (966/3744)
        average with 186 doubles, 20 triples, 28 home runs, 355 RBI and
        444  runs  scored  in  1,086  games  for  club,  tied  for  seventh  most
        in  franchise  history...1,069 contests at shortstop  rank third in
        club  annals...Despite  being limited  to 99  games  due to a  torn
        ligament in his left thumb, enjoyed his finest season for Halos in
        1995, batting .307 (111/362) with 61 runs scored, 28 doubles, six
        triples,  five  home  runs  and  41  RBI...Named  team  MVP  in  1998
        following a season where he posted a .287 (158/551) clip with 73
        runs scored, 39 doubles, three triples and 56 RBI...The 39 doubles
        set a new franchise mark by a Halo shortstop (now ranks second
        in club history, O. Cabrera, 45 in 2006)...After retiring as a player,
        operated  the  DiSarcina  Baseball  Academy  in  Billerica,  MA  and
        served  as  a  NESN  analyst  for  Red  Sox  games...Full  name  is  Gary
        Thomas DiSarcina.
