Chess Club Tuesday Y10-13 English Debating Society

Chilled and relaxed environment to allow chess players to connect and socialise while enjoying the game. Students with experiences in debating will be giving training sessions to junior students. From learning various types of logical fallacies to improving your public
speaking skills, you are guaranteed to win all future arguments with your friends and siblings after attending our training sessions! We may hold an inter-house
debate competition too!
For Y12/13 students coaches: this can be part of your CAS! While dissecting motions and formulating arguments fulfill the creativity criteria, teaching junior
students debating skills can count as a service.
More advanced debaters can potentially participate in inter-school competitions and tournaments (eg. HKDSC, HKSSDC, Sing Tao Inter-school Debating
Competition) to compete with other fellow debaters! Please feel free to email Joanne Yau at yauc18@kgv.hk for any questions!
