Analysis of key genre and themes in modern movies Dungeons & Dragons is a fantasy-fiction inspired table-top role-playing game that was first published in 1974. Many computer RPGs are influenced by it. The
5th edition iteration of the game is enormously popular, with streamed games like Critical Role helping to promote it. It is also an inclusive game, where you can
roleplay any gender, and roleplay any number of unusual ancestries. The game is interactive, social, challenging, and a lot of fun. You take on the role of a hero in an
epic adventure, kind of like being your favourite character in a fantasy novel.
