poor tone quality; and,
- demonstrates no understanding of the style of the piece.

Outstanding 21 – 24 In presenting an ensemble item the candidate:
- displays a high level of accuracy in rhythm and pitch/timbre;
- displays a high level of musicality interpreting: tempo,
dynamics and phrasing;
- demonstrates a high level of sensitivity to cues, coordination
and balance; and,
- demonstrates a high level of understanding of the style of the
piece.
Good 17 – 20 In presenting an ensemble item the candidate:
- displays a good level of accuracy in rhythm and pitch/timbre;
- displays a good level of musicality interpreting: tempo,
dynamics and phrasing;
- demonstrates a good level of sensitivity to cues, coordination
and balance; and,
- demonstrates a good level of understanding of the style of the
piece.
Fairly Good 13 – 16 In presenting an ensemble item the candidate:
- displays a reasonable level of accuracy in rhythm and
pitch/timbre;
- displays a reasonable level of musicality interpreting: tempo,
dynamics and phrasing;
